Oh my God, here comes the holiday season, Christmas is just around the corner and I'm so happy not to be a turkey! Raccoons have been in the garden, we have changed the name "terrorists." I have no surviving aviaries or birdfeeders left, fortunately there are still many natural foods at all no one is going hungry.
There is actually a good side to the loss of all my birdfeeders Decorative wonderful, I can get some new fun! Not only that, but when friends asked what I want for Christmas I have something concrete to say. Bring me a fabulous new, decorative bird feeders, any size, design or color of birds large and small birds, please. Llego the refurbishment of the courtyard. Well, maybe more like urban renewal redevelopment.
Luckily I managed to get all the batteries save for the winter birds before "the terrorists" came through. The pond is still available and the game on that, I get to listen to dogs complain that for most of the night. I have to admit that I would have preferred that "terrorists" that the local bears. We have a man-sized Volkswagen, Week, which went to the porch to see a noise and he was walking through the yard, the dog barked and walked away, did not seem too angry for nothing, thank God.
As soon as it snows seriously going to put birdbaths so heated that my residents, (not open this time of year) can get enough water. The bears, which also fall within the birdfeeders, hibernate early, but raccoons do not, just seem to disappear in mid-winter for a while so I can put my new decorative birdfeeders.
For Christmas I feeder pine cone for a bird treat. They are so easy to do all you need do is mix a little peanut butter, Crisco (PB & Crisco heat just a little), birdseed, dried fruits and nuts and pine cones rolled in some batter. Add a rack and cool for a while. Then went out for their feathered friends and treat them a happy holiday.
